		<description>Excellent insight.  There is a common perception that training is only applicable when things are going wrong.  I work with clients to think proactively rather than reactively.

Reactive companies use training as a corrective or punitive measure: &quot;You did something wrong so go to training.&quot;  It tends to come after the fact and after a problem has arisen.

Proactive training is an investment in employees.  It builds skills and prevents undesirable behaviors.  Employees feel valued rather than punished.

It goes hand in hand with leadership.  If leadership is always putting out fires they will not see the long-term benefit of proactive training.  The good news is that there are leaders who understand that training can boost any number of competencies.

There&#039;s really no good and bad to a company&#039;s approach to training.  It&#039;s just that each approach leads in very different directions.

		<description>In any high end hotels, it is more of an etiquette in showing the guests to their rooms.  Being a guest, it it etiquettely mannered if they are to be escorted to their room and to have a decency to tip the concierge staff for carrying their luggages.
